The book “Beshaarate Ahadaen” by Dr. Mohammed Sadeqi published by Darul Kutubul Islamia, Tehran, Iran has quoted the traditions regarding Imam Mahdi (as) and the number of traditions available about him (as).The table below outlines the traditions.

The sheer volume of traditions regarding Imam Mahdi (as) which are available in books of the Shiah and the Ahle Sunnah lead us to believe that the concept of Imam Mahdi (as) is a true Islamic belief and not one which is concocted by the Shiah as falsely alleged by the enemies of Imam Mahdi (as).
