Holy Quran, Chapter 15 Verse 87

وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَاكَ سَبْعًا مِّنَ الْمَثَانِي وَالْقُرْآنَ الْعَظِيمَ

“We have certainly given you the seven duals, and the glorious Quran”

A person asked Imam Sadiq (as) about above verse The Imam (as) replied, The outer meaning of “the seven duals” is the Chapter of Hamd but the inner meaning refers to the children of the children and the last one is the Qaem (as) (The scholar, Fayz Al-Kashani says This verse refers to the fourteen infallibles, for the verse indicates “seven duals which means fourteen.”) (Tafseer Ayyashi volume 2 page 249)

Imam Baqir (as) said, “The seven” refers to the seven (names) of the infallibles and (the last one is) the Qaem (as) (The scholar, Fayz Al-Kashani says These are the seven names of the fourteen infallibles – Mohammed, Ali, Fatemah, Hasan, Husain, Jafar and Musa (as)) (Tafseer Ayyashi volume 2 page 249)

A person asked Imam Baqir (as) about the verse, “We have certainly given you the seven duals, and the glorious Qur’an”

Imam (as) replied, We are “the seven duals.” And the “glorious Quran” refers to the lmams. (Tafseer Ayyashi volume 2 page 249)
