Imam Mahdi’s (as) Coming Will Be Sudden

Ibn Majah in his Sunan quotes Mohammed Ibn Hanafiyyah and Imam Ali saying that the Holy Prophet (sawa) said, Mahdi is from our Ahle Bayt, no doubt Allah will enforce his appearance within a night (i.e., his coming is very unpredictable and is very sudden).
