Some people have confused the positions of Imam Mahdi (as) and Hazrat Isa (as) by saying that they mean the same person. This is the primary belief of Qadianis. However this belief is incorrect. Hazrat Isa (as) is a prophet and messenger of Allah, whereas Imam Mahdi (as) is an Imam. Also both of them are two different individuals as is very evident from the traditions below. (more…)
Holy Prophet (sawa) has prophesied about several events that will occur just before the advent of the Day of Judgment. Among these, he (sawa) foretold the advent of Imam Mahdi (as), which will materialize when the believers are severely oppressed in every corner of the world. The belief in Imam Mahdi (as) has been a topic of debate since the very inception of Islam. Some of the Islamic scholars deny the existence of Imam Mahdi (as) in its entirety. The Sihah Sittah or Sihah Sittah (Six Books) is the collective name given to the six famous books of traditions by Ahle Sunnah. The scholars of Ahle Sunnah confirm that the traditions reported from the Prophet (sawa) in these six books are accurate. It is for this reason that according to the beliefs of the Ahle Sunnah, the Sihah Sittah is the second most important reference source after the Quran. (more…)

Various objections have been raised regarding the birth of Imam Mahdi (as). Keeping in mind the necessity for brevity, this this article we shall discuss two objections.
Objection 1: Why the Date of Birth of Imam Mahdi (as) is not
mentioned in Sahih Bukhari or Sahih Muslim?
Sceptics are willing to believe only after seeing such a tradition. Actually this objection is based neither on Shariah nor on reasoning and understanding. Rather, by refusing to believe in the birth of Imam Mahdi (as) they have doubted the power of the Almighty Allah. (more…)
